“ A great ice cream spot to visit after eating dinner. The line was incredibly long but after trying their ice cream, it completely makes sense why. I ordered the split scoop of Strawberry Lychee and Yakult. I think it was the best ice cream I ever had. You can tell from the taste they used fresh fruit and ingredients to create the flavors and it wasn't artificial. The interior was so nicely decorated and had lots of cute little details like mini cat figurines and smiskis scattered in different areas. Everyone enjoyed their ice cream and we had a nice time chatting at our table. ”
“ Black Sesame, Ube, and Mandarin!!! Came here on a Saturday night at 8:13pm and there was a line into the handicap parking spot. I stood in line, enjoyed the music from their speakers, and when I got inside, there is a decor/merch wall on the left with a lactaid vending machine and a couple tables to the right side. Once I got up to the counter, I was greeted happily and offered samples, and a full breakdown of each flavor. It took exactly 20 minutes to get inside and the line continued to be the same length the entire time I was there. The reason why there is a line is because the staff gives every party their full attention and providing samples. Very cool service for a soft serve ice cream shop. I sampled it all and the black sesame, ube, and mandarin were my top three. They also had a lot of toppings to choose from but I didn't want any. Limited hours but worth trying, go go go! ”
“ Surprised how I found out about 626 Ice Cream through social media posts from friends in SF! I've been here so many times since then. The vibes, music, service and flavors are immaculate. I love how we could try all the flavors and decide, don't fear the long lines! The hype is definitely worth it! I also love their topping variety, I usually get their bubu arare and Hokkaido powder! If you haven't already, check out this cool neighborhood ice cream spot! ”
“ Finally had the chance to try 626 Ice Cream! It's been a very popular spot since they had opened due to their Asian-inspired ice creams like Yakult but also late night openings. I came on a Monday around 9 PM and didn't need to wait long. Came with some friends for the first time and we got to sample all the flavors they had! The workers there were really friendly in explaining all the samples. I ended up getting their Ube and lychee ice cream for ~$8, both were super delicious. They also have seasonal flavors too and offer free stickers. Overall, I see the hype about this place and would most definitely come back. The ice cream isn't too sweet which my Asian tastebuds appreciate. ”
“ This place is such a vibeee and totally worth the hour long wait! Placing your order also feels like an experience--the barista explains all of the flavors to you and you can ask for samples. The ice creams tasted so refreshing with genuine flavors. Definitely get the chamoy gummy bears as a topping Also there are free stickers! ”
“ Passed by Nov. 2024 when the line happened to not be long! This place always seems to be popping and you can see why once you visit. The soft serve ice cream ($7.95 one cup, up to two flavors) is as advertised, not too sweet and very creamy! I definitely recommend the hojicha flavor. All flavors are made in house and rotate with some being seasonal, so it doesn't hurt to ask for samples before deciding to buy everything LOL The inside is cozy with lots of cat themed decor. Some chess boards for ppl to play with and photo ops! ”
“ The flavors are unique, and the service was amazing! It was our first time there, so the worker ran us through each flavor and offered us samples of each. The soft serve costs $7.25 and you can choose up to 2 flavors. I chose Ube Vanilla, and I really enjoy the aftertaste of ube. For an extra $1.25, I added Oreo, mochi, and rainbow mochi on the ice cream. The mochi was soft and chewy, and the rainbow mochi was fruit-flavored (lowkey thought that rainbow mochi would just be mochi with color). It was quite small inside, but the interior was nice and cozy. Big parking lot, would not need to worry about parking. However, the line was long and moved slowly, so I'd suggest getting some friends for company. While the ice cream was expensive, I'd say the experience was worth it and the concepts were innovative. ”
“ At its heart, this place is a soft serve ice cream spot. I'm not sure if it gets really busy after dinner time because it's one of the few places open on the later side in the area or because it has really delicious soft serve with unique flavors. Maybe a bit of both. A word I would use to describe the vibe here on a Friday night around 10pm is convivial. It almost had a lounge vibe here on the late night. Came her after having dinner in the area. It was on my list for a while and was super excited to finally visit. I ended up ordering the Yakult and Hojicha soft serve flavors. So delicious. And the texture of the ice cream was as good as it gets when it comes to soft serve. I wanted the Hojicha because I think they import the flavoring/ some of the ingredients from Japan. Someone would have to fact check, but I could have sworn I read that somewhere. The people helping you are great and very helpful. I love the decor as well. Even when it's super busy, there's a lot of parking nearby because it is located in a strip mall. ”
“ Love this soft serve ice cream shop! Family owned, asian inspired ice cream flavors with rotating flavors. They are super busy but the line passes by fast. All staff are super friendly and let you sample the flavors. Soft serve is $7.25 and you can choose up to 2 flavors. They have gluten free and vegan options. Current flavors include ube vanilla, lychee strawberry, yalult, ruby apple, hojicha, and malted chocolate. I got the ube vanilla and lyche strawberry both of which were phenomenal! Toppings is $1.75 for up to 3 topings. Lots of topping options! Very limited seating! ”
“ This place is SO. CUTE. on the inside!! It's the kind of place where once you've been and other people send you photos, you immediately know where they are. I got the hojicha and ube vanilla soft serve at the recommendation of the server. The ube was a little sweet for my taste but the flavor was very vibrant and memorable. But the HOJICHA! It lived up to everything I adore about hojicha -- nutty, rich, roasted ... I could go on and on. It's like Salt and Straw but Asian! You can sample everything to your heart's content before you decide on flavors, and everyone that works there is super kind and helpful!! Absolutely will come back to try their other quirky flavors, which if I'm not mistaken, are on rotation. ”
